In 2013, Chainzone was awarded the opportunity to bid for the intelligent transportation equipment project for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (Hong Kong section). This brought both excitement and apprehension. The excitement stemmed from the honor of contributing to a national-level project, while apprehension arose from the strict requirements of the European Union EN12966 standard adopted by the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (Hong Kong section). The project demanded top-tier standards for many details, and overseas competitors, with their extensive experience and strong capabilities, traditionally dominated such projects.
Could Chainzone really meet the challenge?
The first formidable task in front of Chainzone was obtaining EN12966 certification. At that time, the overall industry standard in China was not high, and the EN12966 certification had multiple high-difficulty indicators, such as brightness, contrast ratio, projection range, and more – all of which were not easy to meet.
In addition, Chainzone understood that securing certification was just a crucial step in the project breakthrough; the most important aspect was delivering high-quality products. With no time to hesitate, the company made comprehensive arrangements, mobilizing all core resources, and determined to conquer the project.
From that moment on, the research and development team worked tirelessly day and night. Their efforts paid off. In 2014, Chainzone’s entire series of Variable Message Signs products achieved optical L3/R3/C2 certification in the European Union EN12966 standard.
With outstanding quality and excellent service, Chainzone ultimately won the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (Hong Kong section) project. We provided over 600 sets of independently developed traffic display products, becoming the exclusive LED traffic signal system solution provider for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (Hong Kong section).
